Anyone who remembers the old Atari 2600 CX40 knows that the control stick was make with a plastic that allowed flexibility at the base to prevent this problem occurring. The Retro Thing Clear Classic USB Joystick lets you enjoy old school gaming on. The plastic base of the stick is thin and brittle, with no flexibility. I found at the base of the control stick was cracked (see photos). The ball top is also smaller than most ball-top sticks, a Wico, for example, although it is bigger than the Slikstik ball top. So I disassembled the joystick to see what the problem was.
